We learned all about Martin Luther King Jr. and read these two great books
After we wrote our own dreams....
We also learned what it would be like if we were not all treated the same. Some of use had star stickers and were allowed to play while others had to sit and watch. Then we switched. The students had a chance to discuss how they felt when they were not aloud to do something because of their star or not having a star.We also made a snow storm in a jar for fun!!
In our writing time we have been working on learning about proper punctuation and the correct way to write a sentence. These are the anchor charts we use in the classroom to remind us of what to do.
