Nifty 50's

 We had a great time celebrating the 50th day of school here is a peak into our celebrating.

Doing our zero the hero page! Zero the Hero brought us a zero shaped cookie and a root beer float!!

 We all took a "no thank you sip" of the root beer float. Most of the students like them. Many of the students thought they tasted minty??

We took a survey to see who liked the root beer floats.

Pumpkin Jack

We read the book Pumpkin Jack

and learned all about how a pumpkin decomposes. So we have decided to decompose one in our classroom until Thanksgiving. We are also making comparisons between what is different about a real pumpkin and a plastic pumpkin after 20 days.  I will try and continue to do updates every few days so you can see the progress with us!

October Community Meeting

Our class was in charge of the community meeting for October. We taught our Kindergarten friends a poem called 5 Little Pumpkins. Then we made a craft together. We did a great job teaching everyone the poem. Hopefully your child taught you the poem when they came home.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins!!

Last week we learned all about pumpkins. We discussed what pumpkins are, need and have.  We carefully observed and measured pumpkins. We then had a chance to scoop out pumpkins. Some students loved scooping out the pumpkins while others were a bit more hesitant. Here are some pictures of our pumpkin fun.
