What Will Hatch??

Mrs. Gray found  some eggs in a pond near by and brought them in. The kids were so excited and couldn't wait to predict what will hatch. They all made predictions that ranged from frog, water spiders, water snake, shark, and fish. Here are pictures that document the changes.

This was day 1 in the classroom.Wednesday 5/11/16

We then moved them into a different tank.

We are Growing in More Ways Than One!

Boy is the end of the year quickly approaching!
We are growing like weeds in height as well as in learning. We have been learning about what plants need to grow and we have started bean seeds in "greenhouses". We have also been observing sunflower seeds that have water and sun, only water, and only sun. This has helped us to learn about what plants need to live.

Here are our bean seeds developing.

Velveteen Rabbit

We had a great time watching the Velveteen Rabbit. We walked over to the high school, enjoyed the performance and then had a chance to talk with the performers about the play and the story of the Velveteen Rabbit.
Here are some pictures that capture our experience.

We were so excited for to the play to start. It was a lot of fun dressing up and being fancy.

There was so much anticipation as we were waiting for the curtains to open.

This is where we first met a narrator and the Velveteen Rabbit in the boy's Christmas stocking.

We were so mesmerized by the performance.

Her are some other pictures of the play.
