Pumpkin Jack

We read the book Pumpkin Jack

and learned all about how a pumpkin decomposes. So we have decided to decompose one in our classroom until Thanksgiving. We are also making comparisons between what is different about a real pumpkin and a plastic pumpkin after 20 days.  I will try and continue to do updates every few days so you can see the progress with us!

Here is what it looked like on day 2 (I forgot to take a picture on day 1).

There is mold growing in the eyes.

Quite flat now and some white mold is starting to grow.
